We own our new house and will paying off that bad boy for the next 30 years! (hopefully sooner)
We went by the house tonight after soccer practice to see if the former owner was really out like he said he was. After a ring of the doorbell and a knock on the door we walked right in. We even ate our Chick-fil-A dinner outside on the patio!
I am gonna brag here: IT'S BETTER THAN WE REMEMBERED!
I can't wait to move our stuff in and start this next chapter in our lives. We are looking forward to having all of our local family and friends come over. To all of you out of town friends and family: pack your bags and come for a visit, we actually have room for you now! Pictures to come soon.....or maybe not depending on when we unplug the computer!

Playing Catch-up......
Lots of stuff has been going on around here but I haven't had time to blog about any of it.
- Dustin's Grandpa passed away last Sunday morning. We spent a few days down in Houston for his funeral and burial. Because we were able to see family that we rarely get to see, it was a really nice trip. I hate that we mainly see each other for sad occasions but am hopeful that we will keep in better contact now. Grandpa was a wonderful, supportive and loving man and he will be greatly missed.
- The packing is such a beating. I hate to say it but I think we are on the verge of being hoarders. I mean, how many wine glasses does one family need??
- My mom is coming in on Tuesday to help with the packing and I plan on putting her to use BIG time.
- We close on the new house on Wednesday and have movers scheduled for 8:00am Saturday morning. Plus, our awesome friends Jason and Natalia are driving up to help us as well as Lolli and Pops!!!
- Maddi is still hanging in there. She seems to be even lazier than ever, which I had no idea was possible, but she still acts happy about being alive. Her tumor is HUGE, in fact Dustin calls it her utter, but other than that you wouldn't know she is "sick".
- The kids.......Ramsey is her normal talkative, in your face, always asking questions self. Bryson has hit the terrible 2's and is in time out a few times a day. So, not much has changed with them. Ramsey is super excited about having her own bathroom though!
- That's all for now. The man that bought our house is here right now so I am pretending to be doing something important, but basically I am just listening in on what he is saying to the handy-man that he brought with him. He is going to put in hardwood floors, granite and new carpet.......oh, now he is griping about the slope of our driveway......Dustin is now showing him the surround sound.

Packing:
The good: I am throwing TONS of stuff away.
The bad: I have a TON of stuff to finish.
The ugly: My hands are SO dry from all of the newspaper. I HATE BLACK NEWSPAPER HANDS........I am headed to Lowe's for packing paper today.
Packing with kids: impossible
Packing shortcut: take everything off the walls, it makes you think you have packed a lot.
Things I don't want to pack: my entire kitchen and Ramsey's room. However, as soon as I pack up my kitchen I can totally use the whole "it's all packed up, so I can't cook" excuse!

Can I get an Amen????
I found a school for Bubba to go to next year. Two days a week, Monday and Wednesday!
I can't even really believe he is old enough for "school" but I think BOTH of us will benefit from a little time apart from each other. I love him but he knows me too well. We need a little space.
I am not going to know what to do with myself but I look forward to figuring it out!
