9-month onezie........

on an ALMOST 6-month baby boy! What a fatty, we love it!

In other news, Ramsey gets to meet her new teacher for Mother's Day Out today, she is about to pee a ring around herself with excitement!!!!

well, we are 99% sure

that Henry does in fact exist. I will have to go in for a CT scan to make it 100% but he is having a great time hanging out in my belly.

I know, it is such a pleasant thing for all of you to think about so I promise I won't blog about it all the time.

Anyway, once we talk to a surgeon we will figure out if I really need to have it removed or if we just have a new member of the family!! Not a big deal at all in the grand scheme of things.

shhhhh, don't tell Dustin.......

there is a new man in my life.....his name is Henry. Henry the HERNIA to be exact.


All kidding aside, I have felt this "lump" above my c-section incision for awhile now and Dustin finally agreed with me that it should be looked at. It started out pretty small and is now about egg-sized and you can "pop" it in and out. Pretty disgusting if you ask me. How ironic is it that my husband sells hernia mesh and now I might get to have some put inside me! I guess I can be his demonstration tool if I need to be.


So, we are off to see Dr. Burt today to see what he thinks about it....there is always the possibility it is just a huge lump of fat floating around. (isn't that attractive?) Anyway, here's to hoping it is nothing more than a simple hernia. My only question is this....if we do have to have surgery can we do a lipo-suction of my gut at the same time? That would really be great!


You know I will keep you all updated on me and my new man Henry! (For those of you that don't know, I had a "tapeworm" in college named Willy.....he is reason for my freshman 15, not that fact that I drank too much and ate dorm food.....so here's to Henry and Willy)

Bryson officially has.....

HIS FIRST TOOTH!!!!!

It came in this morning and didn't seem to give him any problems. So, now starts the whole "he must be teething" act I will follow for every little thing he does.

he wakes up in the middle of the night.....he must be teething again

he wants to eat earlier than his 3-hour schedule....he must be teething (and yes, we used babywise....gasp!)

he has runny poop......he must be teething

he won't take a very long nap.........he must be teething

I swear to you, I will use this excuse for every behavior he exhibits from now until 2!!! But, it must be true because the kid has a tooth.

I'm watching you Costco.

So, I am busy around the house today making sure I leave it fully functioning while I am away for a few days in Amarillo. I want to make it as easy as possible for Dustin so he will let me go on "fun" trips in the future.

Anyway, I was stocking the diaper bag and pail when to my HORROR I noticed that the Costco diapers that I freaking LOVE and swear by look a little different. Yes, there are some cute new polka-dots on them and the little cheetah-looking-dude is updated but so help me if they don't perform the same as they ghetto looking ones I will for sure be calling up the head honcho at Costco. You might say I am a little OCD about these diapers but I swear to you they are the B-E-S-T!!!!

Don't you start messing with this mommas diapers, it is serious business. So, I am officially putting my warning out there.....I am watching you Costco!

(For those of you that don't know the greatness of Costco diapers feel free to stop by my house if your child is currently wearing a size 3, I will gladly give you a few to try out!)

So, we FINALLY found our old camera so we can take some pictures of the kids. Hopefully ours will be returned to us sometime soon from the repair service center.

Ramsey's 3-year stats

We ventured to Dr. Newton's office yesterday for Ramsey's 3 year well visit. We started off right with Ramsey gladly standing on the scale and getting measured against the wall. Then it all pretty much fell apart......No blood pressure reading for this girl, she just squirmed around way too much, the "squeezing" seriously freaked her out.

So, here is what we found out:

She weighs in at a whopping 25.6 lbs and is 37 inches tall......that puts her in the 5% percentile for her weight and 50-75% for her height.

Dr. Newton said her petiteness was nothing to worry about, she just is skinny....THANK YOU BETTENCOURT SIDE!!!!! After the shot (you know the one I promised her she WASN'T getting) we left with a sucker in her mouth and a barbie sticker on her dress!

In other news, Bryson was predicted to outweigh her at his 9mo appointment, we will keep you updated on that!

Six years ago today

Dustin and I were probably dancing at our wedding reception. My how things have changed!

Two kids, two dogs, a house and all that comes with those things.

We are truly blessed to not only be married but to have a marriage. We are a unit and although we sometimes disagree we have managed to work through what has been sent our way.

I am so thankful that I have the man I love to walk beside me in life, he is my best friend.

Shout out to Dr. Mary!!!!

Last night we had the privilege of celebrating my friend Mary's graduation from UNT with her DOCTORATE!!!! She is now Dr. Mary!!! How cool is that.

She is seriously one of the only people that I know that has stuck with what she has always said she wanted to be! While the rest of us slackers changed our major bc we couldn't get thru Physics 101 (or was that just me?), Mary kept trucking along!!!

I know her parents and husband could not be prouder and so are we! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you, we had a blast!

Also, this night would not have been possible without my sisters helping us out with the kids so BIG thanks to you guys too! Cari and Nathan, we had so much fun catching up with you. Miles, thanks for the pictures it was great to see you!

"Naked and Dirty"

Yes, that title sounds like a movie right up my husbands alley but it is actually what Ramsey named the toy dogs that came in her Puppy Bingo game. She is into board games BIG time lately (thanks Auntie M for playing with her the last few days!!!). She just had to name the dogs and that is what she chose! I can't wait to explain that one to the people at the gym, mommies at the mall or waiters that might overhear her talk about them.

So, if you hear her talk about "Naked and Dirty" don't be scared...she is not talking about her mommy and daddy....she did not walk in on something she shouldn't have. :)

That is what I heard this morning when I "fixed" Ramsey's DVD player! She cracks me up with what she picks up on.....must stop cursing NOW!
