2000: Dustin graduated from Tech
2001: Lori graduated from Tech
2002: got married
2003: Bought our first house
2004: must have been a boring year (although I did get pregnant!)
2005: had our baby girl Ramsey
2006: Dustin changed jobs
2007: another boring year (pregnant again!)
2008: Welcomed Bryson into the family
2009: Debt Free and promotion for Dustin!!!

as for 2010: NEW HOUSE, we hope!

Here's to the next decade! We are beyond blessed with our family, friends, jobs, health and everything else and look forward to what the future brings!

Christmas in a few pictures....

Thursday, December 24, 2009

Christmas Eve day......

smells like:

  • "Grammie" Bread rising
  • beans in the crock pot for dinner tonight
  • Christmas candles

sounds like:

  • ESPN on the TV, not my choice
  • Ramsey "baking and cooking"
  • Bryson and the dogs snoring
  • Mom and I laughing and talking

what you won't see or hear:

  • wrapping gifts because for once I am done before Christmas Eve! GO ME!

Feels like Christmas is in the air and I LOVE IT!

Merry Christmas to all of you!

grocery store

If there is anything I HATE in this world it is going to the grocery store with both kids. I would rather wake up at 4:00 in the morning to go than to do it with kids. I have a TON of stuff I need at the store today but I refuse......so, here we sit.

Dressed and ready and nowhere to go.

Why, oh Why haven't they put a drive-thru grocery store in our area.

I guess I will go to the bank.....that is easy enough to do with the rug rats!

What do you not like doing with the kids? Please tell me I am not the only one that breaks out in hives at the thought of this.

To-Do list

mine is longer than yours is........ na na na na boo boo! Seriously, why do I do this to myself every year!?!?!?!? Next year I am going to wrap as I go, I swear.

NOT on the list, update blog. but here I am doing it anyway.

We had a fantastic weekend and honestly I should be at the gym not sitting on butt but the desire to workout is gone. gone baby gone.

So, hopefully I will tackle some of my To-Do list today and that will make me feel better about myself! If not, I have a bag full of homemade candy from Lolli that will do the trick.

Carols and Coffee

Every year Ramsey's school puts on a little (tiny) Christmas program for the parents. This year Ramsey once again sang her little heart out! So cute!!

On a totally random note....I seriously think I am shrinking....have I always been a full head shorter than Dustin? I am wearing heels from now on!

"I'm bleeding, dammit"

That is EXACTLY what Ramsey said last night when Dustin got a little too close to the skin when cutting her toenails.

Looks like I know what my New Year's resolution will be!

Hopefully Trevor didn't hear! :)

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

I will let the picture and the sweaters speak for themselves.
In one word: AWESOME!
We had a fabulous time with Rob and Kay and we are already planning on what to wear next year! BTW, Kay made our hair bows and I think they truly complete the outfit!

Trevor

He is our "Elf on the Shelf" and I love him to pieces. Ramsey is amazed that he "flies" away to Santa every night and can't wait to see where his is the next morning. Plus, if she acts up or whines I just mention the word "Trevor" and she straightens right up.

He has sat on the J, the O and the Y, on top of the fridge, in the tree and just about everywhere else in our kitchen/living room. We are taking him to Round Rock with us this weekend so she can wake up to him there too!
I LOVE experiencing the magic of Christmas through Ramsey's eyes!!

I think there should be a "Birthday Buddy", "Easter Bunny on a Shelf", "Turkey Tom" etc......one for every holiday. She won't listen to me but she sure wants to make Trevor happy!!!
P.S. If you don't have an Elf on the Shelf and your kid is around 3-4 years old...I would HIGHLY recommend it!
P.S.S. Please ignore our stocking free mantle. I am terrified that Bryson will pull them down on top of his head so they are in a closet until Christmas Eve!

have you heard?????

  • Lady Antebellum's rendition of "Baby, it's cold outside"? If not, it is amazing! LOVE IT! If so, do you love it too??
  • Tech is going to the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio on January 2nd....which means Dustin and I are spending one night is SA without the kids, eating Jacala's and watching Tech win (hopefully) a Bowl game!!! BTW, if you are EVER in the SA area, you have. got. to. eat. at. Jacala's.....simply amazing!
  • the 18mo-3 year old stage is so difficult sometimes. a very good birth control indeed.
  • about Tiger? OVER IT. The press should really just let his family sort it all out without all of the speculation, blame, rumors, etc.
  • Dustin got his new work car. The Subaru Legacy is a cute little car. Unfortunately, Dustin hit a curb yesterday and put a dent in the front bumper....it took all of 4 days for him to trash it out!

That's all I have heard lately.....

Christmas, toddler style.

One decapitated Wise Man and a sheep with 2 legs.
Poor baby Jesus, he must be creeped out by his guests from afar.
(It's a good thing he doesn't judge!!!!)

Needless to say, the nativity scene has been moved to higher grounds.
Maybe next year I can decorate how I really want to??

I "FELL" in love

with the Pioneer Woman.

I always knew that I loved her blog, her cooking, her photography, her dog, her kids, her husbands forearms, etc. But now I know that I love HER.

Granted I only talked to her 1 minute but I felt like she actually listened to my lame story about falling on my butt in the middle of Wal-mart.....which is another post in itself. She even called out to me to "take some add-viel" when I got home. LOVE HER!
If you don't have the cookbook, ask for it for Christmas! I promise you won't be disappointed!
