Pictures from the last few weeks.....Enjoy!
By the way, Ramsey is Hot Pink Barbie Princess for Halloween. In fact, if you ask her name she says "Ramsey Lynn Hot Pink Barbie". Drama queen for sure!

An open letter.......
To the crunchy mom at Whole Foods on Monday:
Did you think I didn't see you give my daughter that look of disgust because she was coughing?? Well guess what "Mrs. I shop at Whole Foods in Plano therefore I am better than you" I did see it and I think you are rude. If it makes you feel any better, she has allergies....the cough was not contagious although if it was, I would have told her to find you again and cough in your face.
Rude, yes. But you started it!!!!! (so now I am rude and immature, oh well)
I know you probably think that just because my daughter wasn't matching that we were some rag-a-muffins off the street but I let her pick out her outfit bc some things just aren't worth fighting over. I knew we would get some glances but your piercing stare just about sent me over the edge.
There is a reason that I rarely go to WF, because of the crunchy moms like you. Guess what, I have the same green shopping bags as you and my organic milk tastes just the same as yours!
Sincerely,
Lori
And since I am already griping I will now say my peace about The Biggest Loser......I have loved this show since it started years ago and am always so encouraged by the contestants. I have to say that this year is really ticking me off. I really don't like the married couple that used to be the brown team. They are there to play the game, and that is fine bc it is a game after all, but they are making it more about the game than getting healthy. Isn't the whole point of the show to make a life transformation??? Why get into all the petty stuff? Can't you just shut your mouth, work out and lose weight?
Oh and one more thing....for the love of God, please stop the lame product placement segments. We all now know that we should drink Brita filtered water, chew extra gum, eat Jenni-O turkey and jell-o. We get it, now shut-up!!!
Ahhhhh, I feel so much better now!

DRAMA
I have had a drama filled day and we haven't even had lunch yet....come to think of it, I never even ate breakfast.
Life in suburbia is always exciting. Sure, you city folks have the night life, the bars, the fancy-shmanshi restaurants and all that jazz but you can't beat our housewife drama!! That's all I've got to say about that.
However, the real drama today has involved Miss Hot Pink Barbie herself. She for sure woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. All was fine until we tried to socialize. We didn't get to go on the planned walk bc I am TRYING to really follow with my discipline. So, I made a promise to myself and girlfriend that if I tell Rams that we are going to leave if she doesn't stop the drama (not listening, crying, whining, not sharing etc) then we REALLY WILL LEAVE. Today was day 1 of this (only bc yesterday she had school) and I have to say I think it was effective. I am sure CPS will be knocking on my door any minute from the complaints from the neighbors as I walked us all back home but I am pretty sure she got the point. She is currently passed out in her chair from crying so hard. I know, I know, I am a mean mommy but I gave her multiple chances to straighten out her attitude and it didn't happen so why should she get to do what she wanted to do??? I mean if anything, it was my walk that gotten taken away from me. I am the one trying to lose weight so I got punished too.
Alas, it is better that we did this today just in the 'hood and not out in public. Could you imagine me draggin Miss Thang back to the car screaming and crying??? Let's all start praying that doesn't happen and if it does and you are around......buy me some wine.

Busy Weekend!!!
First of all, shout out to my sister Meg and cousin Carin! They both celebrated their 29th birthday yesterday for the 2nd year in a row!!! And by the way, how crazy is it that my mom and my aunt both had babies on the same day of the same year?!?!?! Anyway, happy birthday to both of them, I hope all their wishes come true this year!
So, this was a crazy busy weekend in the B house. I don't even remember all that we did but I know some of it consisted of the Susan G. Komen race (AWESOME AND INSPIRATIONAL), our neighborhood fall festival, the strangest trip to Costco ever, dinner out with my sisters and friends, and I also got to take a nap!!!!
Tomorrow is picture day at Ramsey's school. I am a little annoyed that we don't get to look at the pictures before we order them (the last MDO that she went to that was an option). I have no doubt that Ramsey will look cute but what about the kid that closes his eyes or is looking the wrong way?? Is that the picture you proudly hang on your wall? Now that I have jinxed myself with Ramsey's picture I better wait to order the 8x10...I can always scan it in at walmart and get another one made!!!

Race for the Cure
So tomorrow I am heading out with some of the ladies from my mom's group to walk in the Susan G. Komen for the cure. I am really excited about doing this because 1. it is such a great cause 2. I love the ladies I am doing it with 3. I know I will feel like I accomplished something.
Now, 3.1 miles is not a long distance by any means....I mean my brother-in-law is preparing to run in his 3rd marathon.....but this is not about the distance. This is about women joining together to fight for the cure of breast cancer. There will be people there currently undergoing treatment, there will be people that have lost loved ones and are walking for them and there will be survivors....they all have reasons for being there and I am proud to be in the mix.
Tomorrow as I walk I will be thinking about 2 people that have recently been diagnosed. One, a friend of my sisters and the other a very close family friend. Both are just starting their journeys, both are brave, both have a great support system and I will walk with both in my mind.
I know it will be emotional and I will probably cry all the way, heck I am crying just thinking about it, but I am ready to feel like I have done some good!

Wish I could say I was busy......
and therefore that would explain my lack of posts lately. But, the reality is I have nothing to blog about. My life is pretty much groundhogs day around here.....wake-up, feed the kids, change diaper, play with kids, feed the kids, diaper, naps, play, feed, diaper, bath.....as you can see, it is G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S!!!!! I am sure all the "real" housewives out there are so jealous, with their maids and cooks and chauffeurs.
I know my family just wants to see pictures so I will post some tomorrow (it will give me something to do to spice up my day!!!).

Strangest day trip ever.....
So we should have known yesterday at 5:45 AM not to even reverse our loaded down car out of the driveway. We were headed to Lubbock for the Tech game and I couldn't have been more excited to get to go!!! That was until Dustin asked Wes if he had his tickets...to which he responded NO. Strike 1.
We are making great time and the kids are being awesome...Rams is just content watching movies and Bryson is sleeping on and off and just chillin' in his car seat. All of the sudden the smell hits me......Bryson has had a major diaper blowout and we are about 15 miles from any sort of civilization. So, we pull into Guthrie, TX at the ONLY gas station to change him and let Rams get a potty break. Let's just sum this stop up: NO running water in the sinks, sign that says "hand sanitizer at check out", NO hand sanitizer at checkout, they are out....really, then take your damn sign down, there is a bee hive in the only trash can for miles, and Bryson has literally had a blowout and is now being changed in the back seat of the car. In the mens stall there is no seat on the toilet...not that our guys needed to use the seat but the question has to be asked....what if you did??? Can you say ghetto?? All in all, not a great stop but we are back on the road but it is still a Strike 2.
While driving thru Crosbyton we missed witnessing a horrible car wreck by about 30 seconds but did see the aftermath. One of those old tank suburbans....like the late 80's/early 90's kind that are all metal.....flipped completely over and a dog was coming out of it all shaken up. Now, if you know anything about West Texas you know there isn't a slew of cops and paramedics so about 10 minutes down the road we FINALLY saw a volunteer EMT guy speeding down the highway. **side note: we totally would have stopped to help but there were already a ton of people pulled over so we felt like we would just be in the way.**
So FINALLY we are in Lubbock!!!! We can see the stadium and all is right with the world again! That is until a nice Lubbockite lady pulled up next to us and let us know that our left back tire was really low. After pulling into Walmart with every other person in west Texas we decided to just put enough air in it to get to my godparents house and deal with it there. After trying to take it to a store for repair it was decided that the best thing to do was put the spare on and deal with it later. Strike 3......we are out but still go on, what the heck else did we have to lose????
The game......thank god we pulled out the victory otherwise I don't know what we would have done. We were all exhausted, hearts were pounding and we were out of breath but at least we won! On the way back to the car our babysitter called to let us know that Ramsey had puked. NICE.
After we grabbed a quick meal with the 'rents we hit the road but wanted to check the tire before we were in the middle of nowhere and had issues. 3 gas stations and $1.50 later we finally found an air pump that worked.
Right before we got to Sweetwater I turned around to the back seat to grab a kleenex (bc I was having HORRIBLE allergy issues) and Ramsey starts whining that her mouth hurt.....10 seconds later she is puking up her lunch. We had to pull over on the side of the road to get her cleaned up and changed. Within 2 minutes of her puking she passes out in the back seat. So now we have the long discussion on whether to stay the night in Abilene as planned or just keep trekking on and let Ramsey sleep in her own bed tonight. We decided to keep going as we didn't want to wake her up and risk her not going back down.
The last 2 hours of the trip were spent playing "would you rather..." and "if you could..." It really was a funny conversation but don't remember much of it bc I was so dang tired.
Today, the kids feel better, the sun is shining and we are about to go pig out on wings and watch some football. Thank god we didn't wake up in Bizarro world again, I am so glad we found the exit!!!!

7 months old.....
**warning: this is going to be a pretty boring blog so don't expect much out of it***
So, Bryson turned 7 months old on Monday and while I did remember it at some point during the day, I forgot to write about it.
Here is what he is up to these days:
He is finally a master at rolling over.
He still loves to lay on his back and put his feet in his mouth.
He still only has his 2 bottom teeth....we think his uppers will be in soon.
He can sit up on his own pretty well but we still surround him with pillows just in case.
Hasn't acted as if he has any interest in crawling...which I am ok with!!!
He still isn't all that interested in solid foods although he loves his cereal. Right now he will still eat anything orange but gags on green.
Has a love/hate relationship with his sister.
When Ramsey gets in his face he now pulls her hair!
Loves his paci!
He is wearing a lot of 12 mo clothing.
Has the sweetest smile you have ever seen!
Gets lots of compliments on his big eyes.
Makes a LOT of noise when he wants to.
Pretty much only cries when he is hungry, has pooped or wants to be held.
Still likes his car seat, thank goodness!
Loves to go on walks in his stroller like a big boy.
That's about all the ins and outs of Bryson thus far.

You can all thank my husband......
if you live in DFW and got some rain at your house today. Yesterday Dustin decided it would be a brilliant idea to wash my car.....let me rephrase that, get my car washed.....so of course it would rain today. It never freaking fails. Oh well, my car looked good for a few hours!
In other news, we had another close family friend diagnosed with breast cancer last week. I know she will kick it's butt but she has a long and winding road in front of her. I swear the C word is everywhere I go. So ladies, start doing those breast exams pronto.
We did make it to the pumpkin patch last week but once again I was not able to get a good photo with both kids in it. I am going to have to hire a professional to just follow us around for the day and then maybe I can get a good one!

National Feel Your Boobies Week
In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month I thought I would post this as a reminder for all of my friends to Feel Your Boobies!!! (or have your significant others do so if you prefer-----just do it either way)
My sister Meg just had a friend of hers diagnosed with Breast Cancer a few weeks ago....she is only 30 and has a one year old little boy. It could happen to any of us so I encourage you to feel 'em up! I will make it my mission to keep reminding you guys as often as I can.
Also, I signed up tonight for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I am going with my mom's group (and hopefully my sisters) I know it will be emotional to see all of these wonderful women and to hear their stories but I know it will be a profound moment in my life.
So, get to feeling. Good night!
