bummer

so, we HAD an interested couple in our house. notice the word HAD. they put an offer on another house......a house that I found online, a house that is not nearly as cute as mine, a house that looks like a house and not a home.

"to each his own" I guess. the other house was a little bigger and cheaper....because it was ugly and plain...but whatever.

I just want someone to walk in and LOVE our house like we do. I know they are out there, I just hope they come soon.

In other news, Bryson just walked in the office and seriously stinks so I am off to change a diaper, put the trash out and sulk for the rest of the day! And YES, apparently I am VERY impatient!!!!!!!!!

The birthday boy rocking out!

So, here is the party wrap-up from the Bettencourt's perspective:

• The 80's clothing was hideous. however, we all wore it well!
• HOW in the HELL did I not get a picture of all the couples?? That is what the backdrop was for! Those I didn't get I stole off facebook! except for the Bundy's...did anyone get one of them?
• But, having a backdrop at a party is awesome!
• kids will totally leave you alone if you give them some sprite and a cupcake!
• Salmon colored overalls are not good for the body. I was pretty much the UN-sexiest person at the party......but I was authentic!
• Walmart is the key to any good 80's outfit.
• Keds (or F-eds..since mine were fake) really aren't that comfortable.
• Waking up this morning with no mess to clean was such a relief!
• Theme parties are SO MUCH FUN, officially addicted!

Plans.....

why do I ever bother making plans?? Life with a 4.5 year old and an almost 2 year old doesn't allow them to work out.

All it does it tick me off when I can't do the things I want to do, when I want to do them. So Plans and I have broken up. We are done. No more.

Let's just get it all out there......

here are my completely random thoughts of the day.

1. If I actually ate a normal diet and didn't pig out at least once a day, I would be one skinny mom. It's time to put myself on the Shorts-Shorts diet.

2. Having to keep your house in "show" mode is a complete pain in the butt.

3. For some reason it is so weird for me to look at other peoples houses. I think that it is my Grammie "A" side coming out of me but I try to figure out their story when I am there.....how old are their kids, how long have they been married, why are they moving? We have only looked at 2 houses but I am pretty sure I have those peeps all figured out!

4. I am looking forward to Super Bowl Sunday because of the food and commercials. (Hopefully I can remind myself that it will be shorts weather before we know it)

5. We have NO Plans for the weekend, except for on Sunday, and I couldn't be happier about it. We ALL need a relaxing weekend......although I wouldn't mind be kicked out of the house for a few showings!!!

6. I HATE it when businesses don't call you back. Yesterday, I called a preschool that I am looking into for Bryson and it just hit me they didn't call me back. UGH.

7. My mom is in town for the week and we are all happy to have her here. The poor woman is being tugged around in so many directions, she will be worn out by the time she leaves next week.

8. I bought a really cute sweater at Macy's today for $16!!

that's enough of this boring crap for now.

Things I learned in Vegas.......

(some of these everyone will understand and some will leave you confused...if that is the case, you had to be there)

1. ANYTHING and EVERYTHING goes in Vegas....this includes what you wear, say, drink, how you dance, who you dance with. It is all ok!

2. Upgrading your suite to "Concierge" level is the only way to roll.

3. No cab drivers are the same. Some are pervs, others are rude and some don't say a word. The one thing they have in common....English is their second language.

4. The band Mr. $ Mrs. Smith is AWESOME!!!! If you are ever in Vegas they play at the Carnival Bar outside of Harrah's Thurs-Sat....a must see! And by the way, that bar is amazing. The only reason I didn't gain weight on this trip is because we danced there all night!

5. If you find yourself standing at the bar when the bartender starts blowing on a whistle WALK AWAY QUICKLY!

6. Men (and a few women) take shootin' dice....playing craps....WAY TO SERIOUSLY! We tried to join in on the fun a few times but no one was willing to help a few sista's out!

7. Wearing tall black boots all day and night makes you want to wear Asics the rest of the weekend. It may also make you think that your toe has fallen off.

8. If people are staring at you in the airport, it is probably just because they like what you are wearing.

9. A group of men wearing matching poker shirts is NOT cool. A group of men dressed up like 80's hair bands is AMAZING!

10. Noon is not to early to get "shirted" while eating lunch.

11. Shopping after a few cocktails is fun!

12. Waking up feeling good is the best news ever in Vegas!

13. People watching at 2am is priceless! The restaurants should make you pay to sit there because it is the best show in Vegas!
