A short story

Once upon a time there was a cute little boy named Bryson........
Who found a marker........
And had some fun..........

The End.
the moral of the story:
Thank God for good fabric cleaner AND washable markers!

I wonder........

I wonder why "The Price is Right" is now on twice a day, wasn't once too many?

I wonder when/if I will ever lose my last 10 pounds.

I wonder what Bryson thinks about all day.

I wonder why spandex shorts are made in any other size but XS.

I wonder why Maddi chews up Lego's and Candy Land men.

I wonder if the new recipe I made for dinner will be edible.

I wonder why plaid flannel came back into fashion this fall....do we really want to walk around looking like lumberjacks? just call me Paula Bunyun!!

I wonder what you are wondering about........

Denial

For the last few months, Dustin and I have been in complete denial about our dog Maddi. She was our first baby and has been through EVERYTHING with us. I bought her for Dustin's 21st birthday so she has seen us get married, move, bring Chi-Chi into the house and then has been a protector of Ramsey and Bryson.
Today, the vet confirmed that he thought the tumor on her belly was indeed cancer and it is spreading up into her body. He basically told us that if Maddi was his dog he wouldn't put her thru such a tough surgery.....due to her age, the location of the tumor and its size. So basically we are on full-time watch to see if her behavior changes. Dustin told the vet that the day she stops eating is the day he will know it is time to let her go.....that dog lives for food and food alone.
It makes me feel so old knowing that this decision is in our future.......this is a "parents" decision. (I am WELL aware that I am a parent but this is a big decision that I don't want to make, ever.)
Anyway, that was a fun-sucking post so I will come back with something positive later in the week. Oh yeah, Bryson has an ear infection......awesome day for the Bettencourts!

Dirty little secret

I H.A.T.E. folding laundry. HATE it. I put it off for as long as possible and then I have a ridiculous amount to fold. I have tried the whole "do a load a day" theory and frankly I hated that too. Why would I want to do something I hate every-single-day??? So instead, this is what I end up with. Embarrassing, sort-of. Will I change my ways, maybe.

If folding laundry was a job I would be fired.....it is part of my "job" but I feel like do well enough in other areas I even out.

What is lurking behind your closed doors?

"Boys will be boys"

Bryson took his diaper off this afternoon and ran all over the house shrieking with glee!!! (the girls, Ramsey and Ava, were shrieking too but they weren't that happy with what they were seeing) After he got over his new found feeling of freedom he discovered his "parts". I, again, took pictures because frankly I found it hilarious. Some of the pictures were actually showing parts so I left those out, you're welcome.

AT-TA-TUDE

Mr. Bryson boy has discovered his "own free will" and you better get outta his way if you aren't going to let him do what he wants to do. At one point today I seriously thought about calling our pediatrician because he was throwing such a fit I thought for sure something must be physically wrong with him.......it was B-A-D. In fact, it was a little over an hour ago and he is still pissed off. So, I did what any good mother would do ---- I took a picture of him being a little "turd" so we could always remember it.

We are soooo over this day.
Oh, and I also gave him a brownie to eat even though he didn't eat lunch......I was desperate and chocolate makes everyone feel better, doesn't it??!?!
don't judge, you would have done the same thing......and some of you would have started drinking!

FC Unicorns

There really isn't too much to say about our first soccer game.
We didn't "win" but we are in a league where there are no winners or losers....lame.
Ramsey didn't score a goal but she hung in there and only cried once on the field.
However, she DID run off the field while playing to kiss Bryson.
Our team didn't kick it in the wrong goal so we were thrilled about that!
And a few pictures for the grandparents......
Ramsey kickin' it in.
The FC Unicorns before the game started.
