Random thoughts.....

1. Someone PLEASE come take all the crackers, candy, cake, carbs and anything else that I should NOT be eating out of my house. I have been stuffing my face with everything bad this week and I am starting to feel super guilty about it.

2. Ramsey is doing SO MUCH BETTER with her cast. She is walking a lot and PTL (praise the Lord) she isn't whining nearly as much about it. I know, I know she is only 3 and she deserves to whine about a broken leg but I seriously thought I was going to go insane with all the crying happening in my house.

3. The kids were fed and bathed by 6:15 this evening. I don't know about you but our house does not ever run that smoothly.......sure, they ate Chick-fil-A but still that time is amazing in our household.

4. Ramsey has an "art" show tomorrow morning at school. I can't wait to see what she has painted for us. I promised her I would hang it up in our house somewhere.....would I be an evil mom if it goes in our laundry room? I'm just sayin'.....what if she used orange, how would that look in our house? not good.

5. Bryson is trying to walk but the poor kid just gets too excited and falls down. Right now he smells like he left me a little present in his diaper so I guess that's all the random thoughts I have in my head for now.

OH, one last thing......we are tailgating at Jimmy Buffett this weekend and are SO excited about it. what shall I wear?

Easter

In his pink Easter shirt!

Ramsey scooted around on her booty to get her eggs. With the help of cousin Davis it was a fun event for her despite her "handicap"!

The kids thrilled with their finds!!

Did I get a shot of Ramsey in her dress.....NOPE! We will have to "stage" Easter another day. They did look super cute though, just trust me!

Bryson on his way to church on Saturday evening.
So, Easter was yet another great holiday for us. We went to church on Saturday night to beat the crowd....that didn't really out so well but it was a wonderful service and we were reminded how great our God is! Alleluia the Lord is Risen!

On Sunday the kiddos enjoyed an egg hunt throughout our house since it was muddy outside. Ramsey scooted her way around and ended up with a full basket. Bryson can open a plastic egg in record time so they were quickly put up so he wouldn't get to them.
Hope your Easter was filled with friends, family, food and faith.

FAKER........

Or should I say BUSTED!!!
Sweet little Princess had gone down for "quiet time" when I heard her giggling. I opened the door and this is what I saw.
Praise God she is getting some confidence back!
Update: We just got back from the park and she was doing really well walking around!!

Pink & Purple Cast AND a Barbie!

This is where Ramsey has been since the accident. Sittin' on the couch. She is in MUCH better spirits today....the morning was a rough one....but after a visit and some treats from her BFF Ava she really perked up! I was able to get her to take a few steps and she wasn't too dramatic about it. Who am I kidding, she was beyond dramatic about it but I expected that. After all, the last time she walked on it was Wednesday.

She can't wait to show her teachers her leg on Tuesday so she SHOULD be able to walk by then. We are headed to the park today just to get out and enjoy the nice weather. Maybe seeing everyone else running and playing she will get inspired to test it out more....that is my hope at least!
Oh, and the Barbie was for being a brave girl at the Dr's office yesterday. Was she brave? Not really, but then again I don't blame her! She doesn't really understand what is going on but I have faith she will get used to it because she will be in the cast for 4.5 weeks! Just in time to get it off before school ends!

The Color Purple....

If anything I think the purple cast makes her legs look really long!
I failed to mention in my last blog how this all happened. It was a very simple accident on a trampoline. She was just jumping having a great time but when she fell she twisted her leg and it created a fracture. BTW, she fell ON the trampoline, not OFF of it. It really is a very common break and should heal with no problems. (the Dr. last night told me that she will be able to be the triathlete we want her to be....I had to laugh out loud to this considering her "running" ability AND her genetic disposition!)
Anyway, we go today at 4 to most likely get a real cast....she wants hot pink and I ask that you all join me in prayer in that they offer that color!!! Otherwise, we could have some major issues!
ONE last thing.....many of you know just how skinny Ramsey's legs are. Can you imagine what her left leg is going to look like when they take this cast off in 4-6 weeks!!! She will have to get a trainer at the Cooper to gain her muscle mass back!

Things I learned last night.......

1. My motherly instinct paid off! I knew something was for sure wrong with Ramsey bc she is a drama queen but she isn't THAT big of a drama queen.....Jody's was spot-on too!

2. My neighbors, friends and family genuinely care about my kids! This I knew but it was nice to be reaffirmed that we have surrounded ourselves with great people.

3. Acute Kids off 121 ROCKS! (I already knew this but they confirmed it last night). They gave us the star treatment....Ramsey walked out of there with about 15 stickers and 2 Popsicle's in her belly! Plus, Dr. Girlacker gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to call him if the orthopedic Dr. wouldn't see her today.

4. A Cal-King is still not big enough for one adult and 2 kids.

5. My dog, Maddi, snores louder when she knows something is up!

6. Last night was the worst possible night to be out of wine!

PS ~ Pictures to come soon of round 1 of her cast....it is BIG and purple! We go in today at 4:00 for round 2! Wish us luck!

Weekend at Lolli and Pops

Quite possibly my favorite picture ever taken of the kids!

Ramsey and Pops on his "tractor"

Dustin showing the kids how to eat a snow cone!

Ramsey at Barton Springs

Loving the playground!

We had a fantastic weekend in Round Rock visiting Lolli and Pops (Dustin's parents). We went to Zilker park for most of the day on Saturday and really wore the kids out playing, eating and riding the train. I must admit my favorite part of the weekend was leaving the kids with their grandparents and going on a real date with Dustin!!! We had dinner and drinks on the water at the Hula Hut and had a great time acting like we got to do this type of thing all the time! Thanks for a GREAT weekend Lolli and Pops!!!!

Back to the real world now....Dustin is out of town on business, the kids and I are going to the gym...I will be working off all the food I ate and they will play....and the dogs are as lazy as ever!
