The Gym

Where to begin??? How about this....I HATE it! I hate the smell of it when I walk in (it always smells like bacon and it makes me hungry) I hate that I see the same gym rats there everyday, I hate the skinny moms walking around in their short shorts, I hate the buff dudes checking themselves out in the mirrors, I hate the music they play, I hate the fact that I wipe my sweaty face on a towel that I pray has been washed since the last person wiped their sweaty face with it, I hate that I am in a rut but feel too stupid to try new equipment. I just hate it.

HOWEVER, I do LOVE they way I feel when I walk out of there! I love the fact that I was wiping my VERY sweaty face on a towel that has been used by countless others, I love the fact that even though I am in a rut I at least did something, I love that I can tune the music out as I read the "closed captioning" on the tv's, I love the fact that my husband doesn't act like the dudes there, I love the fact that I am working on being one of those skinny moms in short shorts, I love that the same people are there everyday bc it makes me realize that it isn't easy to keep that body they have, and as soon as I leave I am no longer craving bacon bc who wants to eat that after you have just burned off all those calories!

It's a love/hate relationship.....but at least for now it is a relationship.

George Strait or Curious George

Yesterday while eating lunch at McAllisters, Ramsey heard the music playing and said this was "her song"......meaning she had heard it before and liked it! Dustin told her it was from the "Curious George" CD and she continued to dance and hum (I would say sing but she basically just guesses what the song is going to sound like and starts humming to it).

Skip to a few errands later and now we are at Costco. We walked by a stereo system that was playing George Strait and she said "oh, George again!" At this point Dustin and I are so impressed that our 3 yr old knows George Strait!!!! But, we figured out that any male singer is George and any female is a princess!

Oh well, at least she likes George Strait....her Great Grammie A wouldn't have it any other way!

Broken legs and Kathy Griffin.....

So, I have a habit of asking Ramsey if her legs are broken when she is whining about not wanting to walk somewhere. This morning while we were getting out of the car at church she starting saying she couldn't walk. When we asked her why she simply stated "My legs are broken so I can't".

I guess the good news from this is that she really does pay attention to what we say!

I went out on a girls night last night to go see Kathy Griffin......she was crude, sassy and downright awesome. If you like celebrity gossip then you must start watching her show on Bravo, it is greatness! Plus, the ladies I went with were so much fun!

"You busy Mom?"

Apparently I use the whole "I can't do that right now, I'm busy" a little too much with Ramsey. She has now started saying "You busy Mom?" before she asks for what she wants/needs/can't reach.

This morning Dustin asked her to help him find something and her reply was "No, I am too busy".......as she sat in her chair, drinking chocolate milk and watching her shows on Noggin.

List of things to do tomorrow:

Grocery store - - BOO :( I DESPISE the grocery store with 2 kids.
Watching my nephew Davis
POKENO with the neighborhood ladies!!!!!
Come up with new saying! any suggestions?

Holy Crunchless Abs......

Yes, I am super lame and bought into the whole Crunchless Abs DVD....what can I say, Bryson was a few weeks old, it was 3 a.m. and it sounded like a really good idea at the time. Well, I finally busted that DVD out of its case and put it to use last night and all I have to say is........YIKES! My abs are SO sore today!

Do my abs look like the abs on the cover? hell no.
Will they ever? probably not.
Does it work? too early to tell but I am sore after only 10 minutes so that is a start!

Wish me luck on my pursuit to at least graduate from a one-piece to a tankini!!!!

10. An UGLY red, white and pink heart bracelet - - why does my kid have to latch on to one of the smallest objects in the house? Why can't her lovie be a blanket or a stuffed animal like every other kid? (Although it is so cute that she still calls it her necklace even though for the last 4 months every time she says it we tell her it's a bracelet)

remember the good ol' days when all we needed to survive was some boxed wine and 2 day old pizza???

oh by the way, some GENIUS stole my idea of a drive-thru grocery store....we saw one in Lewisville this weekend. Totally bummed I missed the money train on that one.

Prayer request, Flies and "Sassy"

First of all, my mil Marilyn is having back surgery tomorrow so we would all appreciate any prayers, good thoughts and meditations you can send her way! Plus, my Grammie A had a little fall earlier in the week and we found out today that she did in fact break her arm......so we would also appreciate you adding her to your prayers as well.

Ok, what is up with the dang flies???? I am NOT kidding you when I tell you that I had 28 (twenty-freaking-eight) flies in my kitchen window today. I was on the phone with a girlfriend and nearly had a heart attack when I saw the swarm of them. I killed (yes PETA, I killed) about 8 of them on my own and then realized I could open the window, pop the screen and let them live....somewhere other than my house. So, if you live in the CR and saw a swarm of flies around 3:00, take comfort in knowing they came from my house. NASTY!!!!!! I seriously do not have a dirty house....see post below.....but I do have 2 stinky dogs so maybe that is where they came from? Also, does the house plant Kolancho breed flies, that is only thing different in my house this week and I noticed a few of them on those plants yesterday???

"SASSY" is Ramsey's new name from me. She straight-up has a serious attitude and we can't help but laugh at it. HOWEVER, it has got to stop before it gets out of control so we are on Sass-patrol from now on. I can't wait to get a picture of her in action....if only we had a freaking camera!
